What happens at a DateDash event?
Our events are relaxed, professionally organized social events designed to help attendees connect naturally. Instead of strict time limits, we encourage mingling, group activities, and organic conversations in some of Cork's best venues.
How does DateDash work?
1. Book your spot on our website.
2. Attend a fun, safe curated event in Cork.
3. Mingle with verified, like-minded attendees.
4. Connect via your dashboard the next day.
5. Chat in private encrypted messaging (chats expire after 24 hours and auto-delete 72 hours after expiry).
Are DateDash events safe?
Yes! All participants are verified via email and 2FA. Events are held in licensed, public venues with staff present. We never share full names or contact info. Chats expire after 24 hours and are automatically deleted 72 hours after expiry. Report any concerns instantly via the app or to support@datedash.ie.
What should I wear?
Dress smart-casual — something you'd wear on a first date. Be comfortable, be yourself! Avoid strong scents and anything too revealing. A smile is your best accessory.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Many people come with a wingman/wingwoman for moral support. Just make sure you both register separately. Friends are seated at different tables to maximize new connections.
What if I don't meet anyone?
No worries! Not every event leads to a romantic or social match — it's about the experience. 100% of our attendees report having a hassle-free, fun time. Plus, you get access to future events and our community.
How are matches decided?
It's mutual! During or after the event, you mark "Yes" or "No" for each person you'd like to connect with on your DateDash Card. If both say "Yes", it's a match! You'll both get notified and can chat before the chat expires.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Yes — cancel up to 48 hours before for a full refund. No refunds for no-shows or late cancellations. See our Terms for details.
What age groups are your events for?
We host events for 20s-30s, 30s-40s, and 40+ groups. Check the event page for exact ranges. All participants must be 18+.
Do you have events for LGBTQ+ attendees?
Yes! We regularly host inclusive events for all orientations. Look for "All Welcome" or specific LGBTQ+ nights on our Events page.
