Event Organizer Terms

Last Updated: June 14, 2026

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: Irish law (including GDPR, Consumer Rights, and event safety regulations) applies strictly to in-person events and ticketing.

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Event Organizer Terms and Conditions ("Organizer Terms") govern your use of the organizer, host, or partner features on the DateDash.ie platform ("Platform", "DateDash", "we", "us", "our"). The Platform is currently operated by DateDash Cork.

By registering an Organizer account, submitting an Event for listing, or otherwise using the organizer tools, you agree to be bound by these Organizer Terms, our general Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

📋 2. Eligibility to Become an Organizer

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Operate as a legitimate business, registered company, sole trader, or recognized organization with verifiable details.
  • Hold all necessary licenses, permits, and insurances required to legally host Events at the chosen venue(s) in Ireland.
  • Maintain adequate Public Liability Insurance.
  • Comply with all applicable Irish and EU laws including Health & Safety, Equality legislation, and Data Protection (GDPR).

🎉 3. Creating and Managing Event Listings

You may only create Listings for Events that you are legally entitled to organize, promote, and deliver. All Listing content must be accurate, truthful, free from offensive content, and aligned with the DateDash community standards (fun, safe, inclusive, respectful).

Event Delivery: You are fully and solely responsible for the successful delivery of every Event you list. The Platform's role is strictly to provide the marketplace, ticketing infrastructure, and promotional tools. We do not run your Events for you.

Staff Management: As an Event Organizer, you may approve Event Coordinators to assist with your events under your unique Organization Code. You are fully responsible for the actions of any Staff you approve, and you must revoke their access if they leave your organization.

💳 4. Fees, PAYG Balances, & Refunds

Platform Fees: DateDash offers a Free Tier for basic hosting features, with premium promotional features and ticketing processing subject to fees as outlined in your Organizer Dashboard.

PAYG Credits & Top-Ups: Organizers on the Pay-As-You-Go plan must maintain a positive credit balance to process ticket sales. Top-ups made via the platform to this balance act as non-refundable platform credit.

Refunds & Chargebacks: You bear full financial responsibility for ticket refunds to attendees according to your published cancellation policy and consumer law. You are also responsible for any chargebacks resulting from your events.

🔒 5. Attendee Data, Privacy & GDPR

You acknowledge that you are an independent Data Controller for any personal data you receive in connection with your Events. You must:

  • Only use Attendee data for the legitimate purposes of delivering the specific Event(s) they booked.
  • Not use the data for unrelated marketing without explicit consent.
  • Comply fully with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Delete or securely anonymize Attendee data within a reasonable period after the Event.

⚖️ 6. Indemnity & Liability

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DateDash from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your Events, your failure to secure adequate insurance, or any breach of these Organizer Terms.

The Platform and services are provided "as is". We are not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of any Event you host.
